IMPORTANT: SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTIFICATION
August 19, 2021
Dear School Families,
Our St. Thomas the Apostle School Administration, in conjunction with the Department of Catholic School of Los Angeles (DCS), continues to actively monitor our situation against COVID-19. As of this afternoon, we will be entering Distance Learning until at least Monday, September 13th, due to multiple confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst the students. This decision comes under the advice of DCS, our Assistant Superintendent, and the Department of Public Health, all to help curb any further spread and ultimately keep our school community safe and healthy.
The following actions will be taken by our school:
- Friday, August 20th – Pupil-Free Day: Teachers will be preparing for Online and Remote Learning. NO SCHOOL and NO DAYCARE. The school will provide all instructions, guidelines, and procedures. We appreciate your patience.
- Monday, August 23rd – Instructions and procedures will be provided over the weekend on how to pick-up personal belongings and technological devices if needed. NO SCHOOL and NO DAYCARE
- Tuesday, August 24th through Friday, September 10th – Campus closed. Distance Learning will be in-place.
The school will resume our St. Thomas the Apostle Distance Learning Academy format. We will provide you with those details once again before next Tuesday. Please be vigilant of all correspondence from the school.
We thank you for your patience and flexibility during this very challenging time. We ask that you keep our school community and society at large in your prayers. COVID-19_ School Closure Notification
