Welcome Message from our Pastor Father Mario Torres

As your new Pastor, I welcome you to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and School. I have been a priest for 20 years and Pastor at several excellent parishes with large school communities. I feel blessed to have been selected by the Archbishop to serve and lead a great parish and school such as St. Thomas; it is one of the best in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. As Pastor, it is my highest priority to ensure that all the students and their families in our community and Church experience our Gospel values and Catholic traditions, and most importantly, that daily they can experience the presence and love of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I am very happy see that here at St. Thomas, we have a principal and educators who are committed and prepared to give their best to our students and their families, school, and the parish. I can see that there is a positive partnership between families, schools, and church, and therefore I know that together, with the help of God, we will continue to make an already great school, an even greater school.

I am thankful for this very special school and parish where the seeds of faith and capacity for learning are valued and well taken care of. I invite you to visit our school and parish and see how truly blessed we are!

May God bless you and your family.

~Father Mario Torres
