Dear Parents,
Let me begin by thanking you all for your continued support and understanding as we navigate the global crisis that our school community is facing. Know that you are all in my continued prayers.
As of tomorrow, March 17th, our St. Thomas the Apostle School: Distance Learning Academy will be launched to ensure our students’ continued education and support at home. As the primary educators of our students and the ones that will be overseeing the success of their at home studies, we ask that as a family you spend time getting to know the platforms our teachers have created and the schedule that has been set for each classroom. All this information will be coming to you directly from your child’s teacher. It is important that any questions relating to academic success and the workings of the digital classrooms be directed to the teachers.
Attached, you will find the handbook for our Distance Learning Academy. This serves as a reference for the norms and philosophies we will be implementing while we are away from our physical campus.

As a reminder, our campus will be closed from March 17th through March 31st. I will be providing information about returning to school once it becomes available. The main office will also be closed. The best form of communication is email. You can reach me directly at principal@saintthomasla.org. For any logistical question, you may contact Ms. Estrella at office@saintthomasla.org.
Once again thank you for trusting that our primary interest is the wellbeing of our students and their continued academic success. We have worked to provide the best caliber of distance learning for our students. Please be understanding that this is a new undertaking for our school and it will only be successful if we have the support and commitment of our families. If there is any additional support we can provide for you in this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Estimados Padres de Familia,
Comienzo por darles las gracias por todo su continuo apoyo y comprensión mientras navegamos la crisis global que afronta nuestra comunidad escolar.
A partir de mañana, 17 de marzo, lanzaremos nuestra Academia de Aprendizaje a Distancia para asegurar la educación continua de nuestros estudiantes y proveer un apoyo dentro del hogar. Como los educadores principales de nuestros estudiantes y los que supervisarán el triunfo académico en casa, les pido que tomen el tiempo en familia para navegar y familiarizarse con las plataformas que han creado nuestros maestros y el horario de estudio que se ha establecido para cada salón. Toda esta información les llegará directamente de los maestros. Es importante que cualquier duda que tengan relacionada al triunfo académico de su estudiante sea dirigida directamente a los maestros.
Adjunto encontrarán el manual para nuestra Academia de Aprendizaje a Distancia que contiene las normas y prácticas que se llevarán a cabo mientras estamos fuera del campus físico.

Como recordatorio, nuestro campus estará cerrado del 17 de marzo hasta el 31 de marzo. Les enviaré detalles sobre el regreso a clases en cuanto estén disponibles.
