Message from the Principal

Dear St. Thomas School Community,
It is with a bittersweet feeling that I announce that this will be my last year at St. Thomas the Apostle School. I have have accepted the position as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. I will begin my new position in the Archdiocese on July 1, 2018. St. Thomas has and always will have, a special place in my heart. The blessing that this faith community has been on my life is difficult to put into words. I humbly thank the St. Thomas School, parents, students, faculty and staff in making our school what it is today. St. Thomas the Apostle School in truly a blessed community in the heart of Los Angeles. Our Pastor, Fr. Mario, has already begun the preliminary stages for the search for a new principal for St. Thomas. I have full faith that God will provide the best person for the job. It is not quite time for goodbyes and there is still a lot of learning to do in the next few months, know that my prayers will always be with this parish and school community.

Estimada Comunidad de La Escuela Santo Tomas,
Es con gran sentimiento que anunció que este sera mi ultimo año escolar aquí en Santo Tomás el Apóstol. Acepte la posición de Asistente Supervisor de Escuelas Primarias de la Arquidiócesis. Empezaré mi nueva posición en la Arquidiócesis el 1 de Julio, 2018. Santo Tomás es y siempre tendrá un lugar muy especial en mi corazón. Es difícil poner en palabras la bendición que ha sido en mi vida esta comunidad de fe. Humildemente agradezco a la Escuela Santo Tomás, a los padres, alumnos, facultad y personal en hacer lo que es nuestra escuela hoy en dia. Santo Tomás el Apóstol es realmente una comunidad bendecida en el corazón de Los Ángeles. Nuestro Párroco, Padre Mario ya empezó la fase preliminar de la búsqueda de nuestro nuevo director para Santo Tomás. Tengo mucha fe que Dios nos proveerá la mejor persona para este trabajo. No es el momento aún de despedidas y aún hay mucho por aprender en los próximos meses. Tengan por seguro que mis oraciones serán siempre para esta parroquia y nuestra comunidad escolar.
