The beginning of the school year is the best time of the year. Truly, it is a great joy for a Principal. The halls are filled with the hustle and bustle of teachers and students and learning is in the air.
Last year was an exceptional year highlighted by our students‟ academic achievements. Our test scores have shown steady growth in the past ten years putting us at the top in English and Math in our area. We are proud of the graduating Class of 2014, 31 of whom are now attending Catholic high schools. These accomplishments are attributed to the work of our teachers and staff and their dedication to living out our mission. It is because of the blessed community of teachers, parents, students, staff, supporters and donors that we are who we are; a community rooted in Christ‟s love. Our children are not successful because of their intelligence or social status, but rather in the belief that they are created in the image and likeness of God. It is this undying be-lief that sets the foundation for St. Thomas the Apostle School.
I look forward to all the wonderful moments this year will bring. Thank you again for continuing to support and invest in our school. The prosperity of our students and the fulfillment of our mission would not be possible without the generosity of the greater St. Thomas family. We will keep all of you in our prayers.
